Uganda in TWO DAYS.
I am cooking shopping and packing my butt off. Sam is sleeping in the dorm with the guys who are here for training. Oh yeah, we are training the kids now. They've been here since Sunday. Jericho is all off his schedule. That will NOT get better on the plane ride to Uganda.
We have a two hour flight (hopefully meet Tony in the airport!) then an eight hour flight, six-ish hours of exploring London, another 8 hour flight and then a three-ish hour drive before we even GET to Jinja and then... OH then the fun begins. Or work. When I said fun I meant work. :)
OK, it will be super fun too.
I just finished reading The Shack. Ohhhhh the controversy.
I love the kids on our team. I was afraid they (the girls) would all be girly girly and boy crazy and/or just crazy. So far they are awesome. The nicest, sweetest one surprises me constantly. She's going into the national guard AND she has been skydiving. Awesome.
The guys are cool too. So is my brother. And my ex bf is coming too - he's not here yet, he's meeting us on the plane.
So it will definitely be an adventure.
Jericho has been sitting up by himself for a couple of weeks now. He is such a big boy. :)
My brain is totally dead. I am going to go to bed now and hopefully get some sleep before my next 18+ hour day begins at like 6am.
I probably won't be updating much, and definitely won't have anything of worth on here for quite a while.
I would appreciate prayers while we are gone - now through the 29th.
ps: if you were praying for me the last time I asked for it - THANK YOU. Things are much better...

I'd say adventure is definitely right.
Hopefully you are on good terms with your ex-boyfriend.
That would be awesome if the girls aren't crazy but you'll have to forgive me for not believing that a bunch of girls even has the possibility of not being completely insane, I've never once seen such a scenario as far as I can remember. The not being boy-crazy I can see how it might happen in theory as I've had limited experience with unmarried females under 30 who were not boy crazy but then never when more than two of them were present so it is a stretch...
@mrcolorful - Yes, I am on good terms with my ex - when you've been friends for 11 years that helps a lot. I will let you know if the girls are really crazy or not... I am trying to be optimistic, but it HAS only been a day and a half. Two of them I am fairly certain are way cool. :) At least I hope... :)
@rachelserine - Then we get into the question of whether or not you can be trusted to accurately judge whether or not those girls are crazy and frankly, being a young female is not a positive on that scale and I'm unsure about the effects of the pregnancy and young baby variables on the equation...
I suppose being friends for 11 years does help that equation.
Will the guys be able to focus on the work with the girls around? Will the girls be able to focus on the work with Jericho around? I should probably leave now before I start putting real thought into this.
I'm glad things are better! And have fun in Uganda! I'll pray for your trip!
Coool can I come? I so want to come
Shame I didn't have more time to think in re: to being in London we might be able to meet up for coffee!
I'm thinking and praying for you guys!!!I cannot wait till you get back to hear how it went.Take care of yourself and be careful!!!I've wante to read the shack maybe i should order it!
h!!
so, somehow I missed that you are going to Uganda. what will you be doing there? I hope everything goes smoothly and you are astounded by rest. just go with what comes and trust to be refreshed - for Jericho, too. :)
someday we will catch up again...I know I haven't wanted to be on here much lately but I'm thinking about trying again...we'll see. As long as I get to see your pretty face sometimes and listen to Viva la Vida :)

Wow, big times.
Hi there! I am trying to make a point to visit all of my subs today, and say "hello." Come by and see me some time
@wherever_we_go - No. Way. The thought of that kind of blows my mind! :) I should've thought of that a while ago! Hey, we are planning to take the bus/train thingy into town and see the sights as much as we can in those hours! Do you have any tips or advice? :) What would you not want to miss? :D
@rachelserine - I haven't actually done London yet. I tell you who would be the person to ask.... SaintVi she has done some trips there.
Have a great time.
